Artisan Village Returns to Pickle Festival
MOUNT OLIVE-On Pickle Festival weekend, Saturday, April 29, from 9 AM to 6 PM the University of Mount Olive will sponsor an Artisan Village in downtown Mount Olive.
“Festival goers will have the opportunity to browse through one-of-a-kind work and find something beautiful they can't live without,” said Larry Lean, one of the event coordinators.
According to Lean there will be painters, potters, mixed media, jewelry, and photography. Some of the artists will be UMO affiliated, others will be from around eastern North Carolina. The village will be located at the corner of Main and Center Street.
“The event was so well received last year, that we hope to make it an annual event,” said Lean. “It is one more way the University is bringing cultural activities to the community.”
