An Evening with UMO
MOUNT OLIVE- The University of Mount Olive Office of Alumni Relations will host an evening of dinner, dancing, and live music on Saturday, February 25, at 6 PM at The Farm located at 215 Batten Road in Selma. Conveniently situated near Raleigh, Garner, Knightdale, Smithfield, Zebulon, Dunn, Cary, Wake Forest, Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, Benson, Wilson and Goldsboro. The Farm is the area's premier events venue.
This new semi-formal event will feature large ticket raffle items, including a seat on the 2018 Alumni Trip to Spain, a seven-night stay in Los Cabos, Mexico, a three-night stay at a Fairmont Chateau in Canada, a tour of fine dining across eastern NC, and a coastal escape package to Swansboro, NC. Registration for the event is $50 per person, and raffle tickets are $25 per ticket. Tickets to the event and raffle tickets can be purchased through the Office of Alumni Relations or at www.umo.edu/eveningwithumo. All proceeds from this event will benefit scholarship funds for both traditional and adult students.
“We are very excited to offer this new event to our guests,” said Director of Alumni Relations Hope Fields. “We hope this event will prove to be a relaxing evening for guests, while still having the spirit of raising funds for student scholarships. Providing scholarship funding has remained a top priority for our Alumni Board, so we are very pleased that we can continue these efforts at our new event.”
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Jack Jack 180, a Wilmington-based band featuring lead singer Sara McDaris, a 2013 UMO graduate. The band is a multi-genre group that provides a variety of music to suit diverse musical interests.
“We are planning an evening of food, fellowship, and fun for our guests,” commented Assistant Director of Alumni Relations Brooke Bitzenhofer. “There has been a lot of excitement about the items we will be raffling off during this event, most notably, a spot on our 2018 Alumni trip to Spain. It will be an enjoyable event for our guests, providing an evening for alumni, family, and friends of UMO to connect and raise money for a good cause”
