Note: All Adult Undergraduate programs are accelerated evening or online courses. Students can only be admitted to these programs if they are 21 years or older and have graduated from an accredited high school or equivalent. Occasional exceptions are granted based on work and family situation.

First Time Freshman - A student who has earned no previous college credit hours.
Early College Student (FTF) - A student who has earned college credits while high school through joint enrollment in college courses.
Transfer Student - A student who has recognized credit from another institution.
Previous UMO Student - A student who has attended the University of Mount Olive and is returning after an absence of one or more spring or fall terms.
Special Student - A non-degree seeking student who may or may not be a high school graduate.
Visiting Student - A student enrolled at another institution who wishes to take courses at University of Mount Olive.
CCAF Student - A student pursuing a Community College of the Air Force degree (UMO at Seymour Johnson AFB only).
