Craven County Student Receives Award at MOC

MOUNT OLIVE - Jonathan  Whitford of New Bern received the Thomas Bruce and Mary Moore Dudley Schoalrship Endowment at University of Mount Olive’s Annual Awards Ceremony. Whitford is a junior religion and minoring in music major.

The Thomas Bruce and Mary Moore Dudley Scholarship Endowment is intended to be used “for any licensed Original Free Will Baptist minister seeking ordination or any ordained Original Free Will Baptist minister continuing education efforts whether in a degree or certificate program. The funds will provide tuition and books at any University of Mount Olive location or online.” The endowment stipulates that the Religion Department at University of Mount Olive selects the recipient of the award each year. 

University of Mount Olive is a private institution rooted in the liberal arts tradition with defining Christian values. The College, sponsored by the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists, has locations in Mount Olive, New Bern, Wilmington, Goldsboro, Research Triangle Park and Washington. For more information, visit www.moc.edu.
