Mount Olive College Holds 17th Annual Alumni Golf Tournament

MOUNT OLIVE- The 17th Annual University of Mount Olive Alumni Golf Tournament was held Friday, November 22 at Southern Wayne Country Club. Proceeds from the tournament are placed into the Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund which now totals over $97,000.
Winners of the Championship Flight were Tommy Bass, Rick Morton, Bud Powell and Tony Herring with a score of 53. The second place championship flight went to Jackie Turlington, Eugene Smith, Stuart Locke and Lloyd Turlington with a score of 58. First place second flight went to Brad Evans, Dan Sullivan, Ryan Brown and Mike Garrett with a score of 62. Rich Racobaldo, Eric Lovette, Jesse Lancaster and Paul Novicki took home trophies for second place in the second flight.
"This event is about building community, connecting with our alumni, and supporting students," says Hope Fields, director of Alumni Relations. "We are so pleased this tournament has grown into an annual tradition, supported by alumni who are committed to helping outstanding students."
