Programs & Services

Individual and small group tutoring in several subjects is provided at no additional cost to currently enrolled students. Tutors provide additional practice, reinforcement, and study tips related to the discipline or assignment.

Academic Advising

Students who have not declared a major and students pursuing Associate-level degrees are assigned an advisor in the Student Success Center. Any student, regardless of major, can stop by with questions or concerns about their academic progress.

Career Development

Our professional staff assists students in identifying and clarifying career objectives, teaches skills and strategies for conducting a successful job search, and provides resources to assist students in finding professional positions. Students are encouraged to begin the career planning process from the beginning and continue to utilize the Career Center resources throughout their years at the University of Mount Olive.

MOC Job Network provides a powerful, FREE online recruiting system for students and alumni job hunters, and for employers searching for outstanding candidates. Students and alumni register to search job and internship postings, upload resumes and portfolios, and access job search resources. Employers can register to post positions and search a database of resumes and portfolios.

Disability Services

Students with documented physical, learning, or psychological disabilities can request reasonable course, testing, and/or campus accommodations with Disability Services. Students must register before receiving accommodations. How fast you receive your accommodations depends on how early you complete your paperwork.

Career development and study skills workshops help students further develop skills through participation, self-assessment, and helpful strategies and materials.
